Friday, October 23, 2009 marked the 2009 Red Deer Business Awards.
One-to-1 Fitness a finalist for 2009 Small Business of the Year.
As the new kids on the block we were delighted to not only have been nominated for Small Business of the Year but also have been a finalist amongst the like of 53rd St Music and Wallah signs. To be in business for only 2 1/2 years and be not only compared to businesses that have been part of the Red Deer community for many years, but considered as one of the best the city has to offer is an incredible honor. We are very proud to be recognized by our peers and our community, it provides the affirmation that we are acheiving the goals we have set within our business plan.
Maranda, Pat, Wendy and myself would really like to take this time to recognize and thank everyone who has played such an instrumental role in the continual growth and development of One-to-1 Fitness.
First and foremost thank you to all our wonderful clients, it’s you and your goals that drive us to ours every single day. Our staff, we are extremely proud of the prides, ownership, leadership, and teamwork that all of you bring each and every day. It’s the synergism between you our customer and our wonderful team that allows us to go beyond business and build an extended fitness family.
Jacquie Palovich and Deb Johnson from RBC, I am not sure where we would be without your guidance and hard work to help us efficiently conquer our rapid growth. Your tireless efforts will forever make you part of our team and we are very thankful for that.
Bob & Santana Mattice, two of the best friends you could ever have, and some of the best DIY experts I have ever met. These two individuals are largely responsible for assisting us in the very beginning with our initial renovation and have been key individuals as we’ve continued to tackle certain projects of our own. We are proud to now to call them colleagues in the business community. A final thank you goes out to all our family and friends who have been with us along the way, there is so much support surrounding us success has been an easy guarantee.
With the near completion of our next physical space we are very excited to bring you many more aspects of our long term business plan that were not possible until now. As hard as it was to be so close to a major award we knew that there was nothing to be disappointed about as we knew it was just too soon. As a group you will be hard pressed to find people more goal oriented than us, so you can count on us earning a visible place in this community, the best is yet to come as truly, we are just getting started!
