What made you decide to visit One-to-1 Fitness?
I had been thinking about inquiring about a personal trainer for about a year and half prior to joining One to 1. I was quite comfortable “just thinking about it” but then at a charity function earlier this year I had bid on and won two One-to-1 gift cards at a silent auction. Prior to this evening, I had never heard of One- to-1 Fitness.
I immediately emailed One-to-1 Fitness and scheduled a consultation. I must admit that I was totally shocked to find out the cost of having a personal trainer!! But the program manager offered me a complimentary week of Fit Camp. After that week, I decided to join Fit Camp however, we ran into a problem – One-to-1’s standard policy was only to accept one of the gift cards on a new program. Knowing that this was not One-to-1’s problem, I notified my friend from the service club that held the charity event and explained to him that they needed to pay closer attention to what they received as donations for silent auction because clearly in this situation, two cards as one silent auction item did not work – they should have auctioned them off as two separate items or they needed to advertise the items better.
I hadn’t intended for this to go any further than discussing it with my friend, however, he felt that he needed to do something because it was his service club’s function that I attended. I was very surprised to get a call from One-to-1 Fitness and that they would accept both cards. Now prior to this call, I kept receiving emails from Cabel and one in particular grabbed my attention. At the time I received that email, I told myself that if One-to-1 accepted both cards, then I would sign up for a personal trainer. I didn’t tell anyone about that commitment but it is almost like One-to-1 Fitness knew! So when they called….I signed up for a personal trainer. I am so thankful that I did – it is without a doubt the best thing I have ever done for myself!
So the question was “What made you decide to visit One-to-1 Fitness?”. In my case….it was a gift card! Thank-you, Cabel and Pat for seeing “beyond the card.”
What have your results been at One-to-1 Fitness?
I am down 15 pounds and 15 and 3/4 inches.
What do you think has been different about One-to-1 Fitness compared to other programs you have tried?
The biggest differences between One-to-1 Fitness and other gyms or fitness classes I have attended are:
1) Personal care and attention
2) Accountability
3) Lifestyle change
I have found that my trainer genuinely cares about his clients. It is very obvious that his primary focus is on the individual needs of his clients. At each and every session, he inquires about my weight loss, water consumption and food intake. If something has gone sideways, we discuss it and he points me in the right direction. My success at One-to-1 is totally attributed to my trainer – he keeps me accountable and he goes out of his way to ensure I achieve success! My trainer acknowledges every success regardless of how minor it may be. He makes me feel like I’ve made a major accomplishment with each and every step I take towards achieving my goal (even when they are just baby steps). Not only does he dedicate himself to “me” during my sessions, he also has told me to call him if I need “help” outside of One-to-1 time. Now what other gym offers that kind of service and dedication?! The other gym that I have been going to for years to do cardio, doesn’t even know my name – in fact, they barely acknowledge you when you walk in. AND THERE LIES THE DIFFERENCE – you cannot get One-to-1’s quality of service just anywhere. One-to-1 Fitness cares about you and treats you as an INDIVIDUAL, not just another client coming in to exercise. My trainer treats his job like it was his own business and he is compassionate about what he does.
I also appreciate Cabel’s emails. The timing of a lot of them is very appropriate for me – it is almost as if he were writing directly to me! I keep the articles and review them frequently – it helps to keep me focused and reinforces what my trainer tells me.
I now realize that for me, other gyms are just places to go and work out but the effectiveness of that work out….well, for me….probably not effective at all. No one knows or cares when or how often you go. You are not accountable and for me, I have discovered that doesn’t work. But I needed to experience One-to-1 Fitness to figure that out!
It wasn’t until my initial consultation that I realized that One-to-1 Fitness was not just about personal trainers, rather it was about lifestyle change (at least it is for me). I am very appreciative of the meal plan and the continual monitoring of that by my trainer. I think my turning point was when I acknowledged that this was a lifestyle change and not a diet. I now realize that the meal plan, the personal trainer and the cardio all work together and without those three things – I would never achieve my goal. Thank-you One-to-1 Fitness and especially my trainer Travis for helping me understand that and for the guidance!!
In this age where “customer service” is the key, I cannot emphasize enough how much I appreciate the friendly, caring atmosphere at One-to-1 Fitness.
Would you recommend One-to-1 Fitness?
I would and have recommended One to 1 Fitness! I know a lot of people are concerned about the cost of a personal trainer but I tell them that it is well worth it! Within the first month of training, I knew that for me, it was money well spent! And I still firmly believe that. Other gyms and fitness classes I have attended have not even come anywhere close to giving me the success that my trainer has!
I have been coming to One-to-1 Fitness for about four months now and am amazed at the number of friends that have seen a difference in me and of course they all want to know about what it is I am doing. Prior to that, no one ever asked me what I was doing and I’ve been going to a gym for a number of years!!
One-to-1 Fitness is very appropriately named – one to one – where you are treated like you are the only one that counts!
If you are serious about fitness and weight loss and are prepared to commit to it, then One-to-1 is definitely the answer. You will achieve success because One-to-1 cares enough to continually monitor and evaluate your progress. Your success is their success! The guidance and dedication you receive from One-to-1 is second to none. Your trainer is with you and cheering for you with each and every step and that helps to keep you focused and accountable.
